Intro to Spreadsheets | Build a Basic Budget Spreadsheet
In this Common Core-aligned project, students will create a simple monthly spreadsheet of actual versus budgeted expenses. They will utilize multiple basic spreadsheet functions and formulas as well as do basic formatting.
In this Common Core Standards-aligned project, students will participate in a role-playing activity, learn about some of the main causes philanthropists support, and who some key philanthropic organizations are around the world.
Students will examine ethical scenarios. They will need to identify which side of the argument they agree with, provide a rationale for their response, and try to persuade others through a debate format.
In this Case Study, students assume the role of a business advisor who helps two Shark Tank contestants improve their businesses to receive an investment offer from the sharks. Students will analyze both businesses to determine their strengths and weaknesses and make recommendations on how to move forward.
In this Entrepreneurship Number Chug, students will:
Calculate the costs associated with starting your own business
Find the break-even point for a startup business

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.7.RP.A.3 Use proportional relationships to solve multistep ratio and percent problems. Examples: simple interest, tax, markups and markdowns, gratuities and commissions, fees, percent increase and decrease, percent error.
