FinCap Friday: Spotting Secret Ads
Some of your students have probably watched influencers post about winning thousands of dollars on TikTok this year, but it was likely fake! A WSJ investigation revealed a betting platform secretly paid over 800 influencers to post fake winning videos, totaling millions in made-up profits. This week's FinCap Friday breaks down the scandal and teaches students a few simple questions to help you spot hidden ads on social media. Check it out below:
