Why Your PD Hours Reset: The 26-27 NGPF Academy is Here

A brand new NGPF Academy year started on July 1 and that means a clean slate for your professional development. NGPF Academy is your home for FREE, comprehensive PD built to help you gain confidence, earn credits, and build community with other personal finance teachers. The best part? You're automatically enrolled when you attend your first PD. No signup, no fuss.

Five Types of NGPF PD

There's a format for every schedule and every goal:

  • On-Demand modules: Self-paced modules covering a wide range of personal finance topics.
  • Certification Courses: Go deep on a core content area with nine hours of sessions plus a one-hour final exam.
  • Virtual PD: Live, interactive one-hour sessions, offered multiple times a week.
  • Virtual Conferences: Saturday events twice a year with up to 6-7 hours of programming.
  • FinCamps: A full day of in-person PD led by the NGPF team.

A Note on Your PD Hours

Here's the one thing to keep in mind as the new year kicks off: your PD hours reset for the 2026-27 Academy year. Everyone starts fresh at zero.

But resetting doesn't mean losing anything. All of your history lives in My NGPF Academy, where you can always view your annual and all-time transcripts, plus your PD Certificates, any time you need them.

NGPF Achievements

You can earn badges for:

  • passing your first Certification Course
  • finishing each of our 12 Certification Courses

Pass at least six and you'll earn the Distinguished Educator Award. And for every 10 PD hours you complete, you'll level up through Freshperson, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior status, all the way to 40 hours.

Ready to dive in?

The new year is the perfect time to start. Attend a PD, earn your first badge of the season, and watch your hours climb.
