Congrats to the Spring 2024 Cohort of ASU Investment Management for Educators!

Please help NGPF congratulate the Spring 2024 cohort of participants for ASU’s Investment Management for Educators graduate course!  After having already completed NGPF’s Investing and Advanced Investing certification courses, these participants were awarded scholarships to be able to take the graduate course with Arizona State University because of their dedication to personal finance education.

Arizona State University W. P. Carey School of Business has partnered with NGPF to create a personal finance certificate program for K-12 teachers, allowing them to earn college credit for professional development.

The program consists of two online courses: Investment Management for Educators (3 credits), which focuses on a framework for planning and implementing investment strategies, and Risk Management for Educators (3 credits), which focuses on identifying, measuring, and mitigating sources of risk.

See who completed the first cohort of the ASU Investment Management for Educators Course.

Here is what some participants had to say about their experience:

"I really enjoyed the online course. I thought it was well planned! The lay out of the course was great and easy to follow. The work load was just enough, so I could finish everything with enough time, learn about the topics and not feel over loaded and rushed. Instructors were knowledgeable and presented the course with zest. Very thankful to NGPF for this and everything they do to advance the financial education! Kudos to NGPF!"

Vandana R in IL

"I really enjoyed this course. I thought it went into greater detail about investing, furthered my knowledge and complimented what I learned in the NGPF course. It was nice being able to do it on my own time frame. The videos were easy to watch and the tests easy to take. It was a great experience."

Kim Harris in CO

"I appreciated the opportunity to take these courses, and I learned so much that I will use for lessons in my classroom. The courses lend credibility to my role as a financial literacy instructor and provided new information as well as additional content for areas I already cover. The pace was good and allowed completion during the school schedule."

Marcia Latta in OR

"One thing I really appreciated about the course was the hands-on approach to learning. We got to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios, which helped solidify my understanding of the material. "

Shawn Brigham in TX
