My Classroom Podcast: Dan LaSalle -- Bringing Financial Literacy to Life

My Classroom is a short NGPF podcast series devoted to supporting the efforts of teachers. Each week we will speak with different teachers who will share timely tips, resources, and teaching strategies that can be implemented immediately into the classroom.

In this week's episode, we speak to Dan LaSalle. For nine years, Dan worked in Philadelphia as a high school teacher and later a school administrator. During this time, he began a financial literacy program that he now works on full-time. His organization is called the Niche Clinic. Niche Clinic runs a program for high school students that not only teaches them about saving, budgeting, and investing, but also gives them an opportunity to earn money for creating meaningful change in their school or community.

Dan was recently featured in a CNBC article and has been highlighted in many other press articles such as on Marketplace and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
