Question of the Day: How much can a YouTuber with over a million views a month expect to make in monthly income?
Youtube has close to 3 billion active users, and a million views a month sounds like a big number. What does it actually pay?
Answer: About $1,187 - $1,979 a month
This amount is after Google takes about 45% of advertising revenue.

Questions:
- How do you decide what to watch on YouTube? How do you find out about popular videos that might be of interest to you?
- How would it make you feel if you earned 1 million monthly viewers and then Google took around 45% of your earnings?
- Do you think $1,187 - $1,979 a month is enough for an independent adult to live on? Why or why not?
