Best of 2018...PBS Two Cents Personal Finance Videos

PBS Two Cents made a big splash on the scene in 2018. Philip Olson and Julia Lorenz-Olson create engaging videos that do a great job explaining personal finance concepts in ways that your students will understand. We added several of their videos to our video library and you can also hear their story on the NGPF Podcast

I reached out to Philip today and he was kind enough to share the "top 5" videos he and Julia produced in 2018 (based on Facebook and YouTube views). Beth has also created a few Kahoots to accompany these videos to help you check for student understanding. Without further ado, the top 5 Two Cents videos for 2018:

About the Author

Tim Ranzetta

Tim's saving habits started at seven when a neighbor with a broken hip gave him a dog walking job. Her recovery, which took almost a year, resulted in Tim getting to know the bank tellers quite well (and accumulating a savings account balance of over $300!). His recent entrepreneurial adventures have included driving a shredding truck, analyzing executive compensation packages for Fortune 500 companies and helping families make better college financing decisions. After volunteering in 2010 to create and teach a personal finance program at Eastside College Prep in East Palo Alto, Tim saw firsthand the impact of an engaging and activity-based curriculum, which inspired him to start a new non-profit, Next Gen Personal Finance.
