Three Pathways to Build Your Conference Day

If you're new to teaching personal finance, you probably have a lot of questions. Where do I start? What resources actually work? How do I teach investing when I'm still learning it myself? And if you've been teaching personal finance for a while, you might be asking different questions. What's new? How can I keep my lessons fresh? What are other teachers doing that's working?

We get it. And we've got you.

NGPF's Financial Literacy Month Virtual Conference on April 11, 2026 is designed to meet you where you are. Whether you're in your first year of teaching personal finance, just getting started with NGPF, or a veteran looking for fresh ideas, you can build a conference experience that fits your needs.

Three Pathways, One Goal: Your Success

Throughout the day, 16 sessions are offered along three pathways. You can follow one track or mix and match across all three.

New to NGPF

This is your starting point. Learn how to build your course with confidence, discover video resources that bring concepts to life, and explore hands-on activities that keep students engaged without screens. You'll also get practical strategies for teaching investing, one of the most requested (and intimidating) personal finance topics.

Sessions include:

  • Where Do I Start? Course Planning with NGPF
  • Top Video Resources for the Personal Finance Classroom
  • Unplugged & Engaged: Hands-On Personal Finance Activities
  • Teach Investing with Confidence

Content Confidence

Strengthen your own financial knowledge so you can teach with confidence. These sessions cover everything from goal-setting and budgeting to retirement planning and money myths. The content is relevant for your life and adaptable for your classroom.

Sessions include:

  • Mind Your Money with Yanely Espinal
  • Better Way to Save for Retirement: 403(b) or 457(b)?
  • Medicare & Social Security: Avoid These Retirement Mistakes
  • Money Myths & Misconceptions

Classroom Tools & Resources

Find new ways to engage students with current, relevant content. Explore AI literacy opportunities, learn what's new at NGPF, and discover how to use podcasts and timely topics like sports betting in your lessons.

Sessions include:

  • Turning Assignments into AI-Literacy Opportunities
  • What's New at NGPF
  • The Power of Podcasts in the Classroom
