Question of the Day: What is the highest paid profession in your state?
- What common characteristics do you notice about these jobs?
- What training/education is required for these positions?
- What jobs do you think can be done by robots in the future?
- Are any of these jobs of interest to you? Are they any that you want to do further research on?
Behind the numbers (howmuch):
"We found data on the highest-paid occupations from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Our map reflects the jobs with the highest median annual salary in each state. We categorized each profession with a color and an intuitive icon.
This is the best approach for understanding the dataset because a median figure separates the sample between the higher and lower half. All things being equal, someone working in a given job will likely earn somewhere close to the numbers on our map."
