Behind the numbers (FED Small Business, Gusto)

"The Small Business Credit Survey (SBCS) finds that approximately 6 percent of small employer businesses are at least partially owned by somebody who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community, and the survey finds the experiences of these firms differ in some ways from the experiences of other firms.

Along with the owner’s LGBTQ status, the SBCS collects other demographic characteristics of businesses’ owners, such as their age. Analyzing owner demographics in conjunction with firm demographics like industry provides a richer understanding of small business conditions."
